These walled “enclosures” date from the 16th and 17th centuries. Situated around local churches, they always contain a stone Calvary, sometimes accompanied by tombs and an ossuary or even a triumphal arch. The sculptures of the Calvary are beautifully detailed and also depict whole Biblical scenes. They are a real sight.
